Click measurement defines how we capture, validate, and report user engagement with ads. Koddi’s approach follows IAB Click Measurement Guidelines and prioritizes a server-side user action event as the authoritative source of truth.

Accurate click tracking ensures fair billing, performance reporting, and attribution across media channels.

Koddi’s system is built to:

• Capture clicks immediately at the user action (e.g., tap or click).
• Log the event server-side for reliability and consistency.
• Filter activity based on industry-leading event filtering solutions.

How It Works

User Click: A user interacts with an ad (browser or app).

Server-Side Logging: The client-side application should send that signal to a server-side application that then sends that signal to Koddi.

Redirect & Destination Load: The user is redirected to the destination page.

Filtering & Validation: Invalid clicks (bot patterns, duplicates, malformed referrers) are filtered.

Core Principles

Single Measurement Point: Koddi counts the click when the user action occurs and it is received server-side.

Server-Side Reliability: By logging at the server level, we ensure durability, even if client environments fail or front-end errors occur.

IAB Alignment: Koddi’s implementation follows IAB and MRC principles for click origination, filtration, and auditability, as described in the IAB Click Measurement Guidelines (v2.0).

Ongoing QA and Validation

Downstream validation serves as a secondary quality control step following the primary server-side click capture. As part of implementation QA and ongoing audits, Koddi periodically conducts manual reviews of downstream data to confirm that logged clicks correspond to valid user sessions and functioning destination pages. These reviews rely on secure data exports or file-based reports. The goal is to identify broken redirects, latency issues, or irregular click behavior while maintaining the original click count as the sole source of truth. This process aligns with the IAB Click Measurement Guidelines for data integrity and audit transparency. Your Koddi team will work with you as needed to complete these validations.
